  I gave them a one star rating because that is the lowest number you can give. I have also had problems but it is because Terminix bought Alterra and that’s when my problems started. I have been with 2 companies they gave great service but every time they were bought out by Terminix within 6 months I started have trouble with ants, etc. One tech, who left after Terminix took over, advised me that Terminix uses a lower grade of chemicals and he wasn’t staying with the company due to customer complaints. They came out for my quarterly service and have had ants crawling on me. Its terrible. Had them back out for repeat spraying and still have a problem. Manager that services this area advised the toll free number rep he would call me back in 30 minutes to 1 hour regarding my problem. That was a week ago and several attempts have been made to contact them...all to no avail. I just want what I pay for and that is a service that addresses my needs. They are extremely close to losing my business. I do not recommend this company.

  Don't try to call them. 100% of the time their Dallas office goes to voicemail. Then, their techs will show up to your house smelling like smoke (if they show up at all). We scheduled an appointment for Dec 28th. No-showed until the next day without apology. Worst experience. Would give zero stars if I could.

  Alterra Pest Control has been servicing our home quarterly. Lately, they just show up without notification and bill us. Last visit, on Sept. 27, the bill indicated that ant mounds and wasp nests were treated when in fact they were not as they did not enter the back yard apparently. I sill have ant mounds in back yard and a large yellow jacket nest on the shed eave that was not treated. I called daily and have left 7 voice mails and they did not respond to my call. I called the Austin branch and they tried to reach out to the Dallas office. I spoke to someone on Friday, 9/30/16 and was promised that the matter would be resolved and they would have a manager call me. That has yet to happen. We were charged over $90.00 for the partial treatment and Alterra Pest Control has not made any effort whatsoever to resolve the problem.
